bad night

Can't believe I just messed up a blanket that I'm almost finished with. I'm one very very sad Ally right now. *sigh*

My 3 year old wants to be an Etsy seller

I love crafting. You know who else loves crafting?

Yup. That little man right there. Aidan. When I'm in the craft room he's right next to me doing his own crafts. Its no secret I've been in love with button making. Aidan has jumped right in and has been making his own buttons. All on his own. He picks his colors, rolls out the clay, puts his own button holes with his own clay tools.


The other night while I was talking about sanding some buttons so that I could list them on Etsy soon, he then tells me that all his new buttons that he's made are for me to put on Etsy. He wants to sell his buttons too "for you Mommy" While this is VERY sweet. Part of me just screams UH OH! He's smart. Really smart when it comes to computers (as I'm sure most kids are now) He'll know if I list them on Etsy or not. He's even gone through the trouble of taking these pictures that I'm posting right now. Would it be weird if I did post them to keep him happy and just write that they're buttons my 3 year old made and please don't waste your money buying them? hahaha I'm going to give it a few days and just hope that since he is a 3 year old he'll forget all about it.

Late night "work"

With Dylan being sick and staying up late I decided to work on sanding and polishing some buttons. I really got into it and actually got a lot done.

I sanded and polished till I couldn't anymore. Really I couldn't. The battery on the Dremel died on me :P But I'm sorta glad that it did. Its almost 1 a.m. and I could really use some sleep. Only problem... Dylan's STILL awake. How can he do that? I really don't understand it. He's down to one nap during the day. And sadly Aidan is down to zero naps a day. I guess all I can do is go lay Dylan down in his bed and just cross my fingers he'll fall asleep soon on his own.

More buttons!

I sold my first set of buttons on Etsy the other day! :D I was so excited. So today I grabbed a few more buttons to take photos and list them. Of course I couldn't find the right light anywhere in the house or outside. So taking a few photos ended up taking about an hour (maybe more) ;)


So tonight I'll be sanding and polishing more buttons. I'm feeling the need to grab some clay and start playing again. To bad Dylan's sick. Makes everything that much harder to do. Runny nose and fever. Oh and lets not forget a bad bad BAD case of the whines. I've had two nights of very little sleep and I get the feeling that tonight will be the third....
Did this post make any sense? Did I write that I haven't had much sleep? What was the point of this post? Oh yeah...

I've done it! My moms blanket is finished! Woohoo!
Knit project #1 - complete! :)

Now on to knit project #2...
This lovely blanket was started... oh I don't know... maybe a year ago? Maybe longer then that. haha. Love it though. Basic cream colored baby blanket. Knit on the diagonal. I plan to finish this one in the next month. So end of February? I have no idea who I'll gift this one to, but I'm sure I can find someone with a baby who'll take it :P
I just might finish those 4 knit projects this year after all :)
